Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs on customers' vehicles at driveways or workplaces, guided by a digital schedule.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with core hours and occasional Saturdays, with earnings typically between £40,170 and £52,000 including overtime and bonuses. Comprehensive benefits follow after probation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence (≤6 points).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
