Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division, covering the Maidstone cluster. You will work on pre-booked, planned jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic tools, following a clear digital schedule.

Expect routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs away from the workshop, with member guidance and RAC safety checks. The role offers a 40‑hour week, core hours, and overtime/bonus opportunities plus a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
