Job summary

The RAC are recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for their SMR division in the UK. You’ll handle pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on customers’ vehicles, operating from a RAC van with full tools and a digital schedule.

Expect a 40-hour week, with core hours and occasional Saturdays, plus overtime and bonus opportunities to boost earnings above the base salary of £40,170. Training and career progression are supported across the SMR platform.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection
• Ensure vehicle safety checks meet RAC standards
