Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeks mobile vehicle technicians to service and repair cars at members' driveways and workplaces. You’ll work from a pre-booked schedule, using a full RAC van, tools and advanced diagnostics to complete planned work to RAC standards.

Ideal candidates have NVQ2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years as a technician, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. The role offers a stable 40-hour week, overtime options, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs and vehicle safety checks.
• Advise members and recommend improvements based on inspection.
• Work from a planned schedule and use RAC mobile service platform.
