Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll work on a planned schedule with a RAC van and full tool set, diagnosing and servicing vehicles at members’ driveways or workplace car parks. A base salary around £40k is complemented by overtime and bonuses, with a clear, structured workflow and flexible overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs you’d usually do in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
