Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the East Midlands. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs at driveways, car parks or workplaces.

You’ll advise members, conduct safety checks to RAC standards, and enjoy a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card and uniform from day one, with overtime and bonus opportunities that can raise earnings toward £52,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Conduct diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
