Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the Bromley area. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs in a fully equipped RAC van, performing diagnostics and in-depth repairs with the aim of getting members moving again.

Hours are 40 per week with core 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays. A competitive base salary is offered with OT and bonus opportunities to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
