Job summary

RAC in Harlow is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our SMR Division. You’ll work on a pre‑booked schedule, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs for members in your local area. The role offers a 40‑hour week, with some Saturdays, clear planning, and modern mobile diagnostics and tools.

You’ll be part of a trusted national organisation and can progress into EV and diagnostic skills. Full UK driving licence required; NVQ Level 2 and 5+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
