Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division in London. You’ll work on pre-booked, drive-to jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, tools, fuel card and diagnostic support.

You’ll carry out routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment and in-depth repairs, while advising members on maintenance and safety. A full UK driving licence and 2+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
