Job summary

RAC SMR is recruiting Mobile Mechanics to perform planned, on-site servicing and diagnostics for members on a pre-booked schedule. You will work in the Northampton cluster, including Corby, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance without emergency callouts, in a structured, predictable workflow.

As part of the SMR division, you will carry out diagnostics, routine servicing, and in-depth repairs, offering informed recommendations and ensuring vehicle safety checks in line with RAC

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• or
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
