Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule, perform diagnostics, routine servicing, and in-depth repairs using mobile equipment, delivering high-quality service to members across Enfield and surrounding areas.

You’ll have a fully equipped RAC van, tooling, and support to deliver planned work with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Driving duties and overtime opportunities are a core part of the role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance or 5+ years if no NVQ route.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally do in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
• Manage planned, pre-booked appointments with no emergency callouts.
