Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our SMR Division to deliver scheduled, quality servicing and repairs directly to members, from driveways to workplaces. You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van, with diagnostics tools, and work from a pre-booked list of jobs.

You’ll enjoy a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30–17:00 and one in four Saturdays, plus overtime and bonus opportunities. NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 2+ years’ experience) and a full UK driving licence with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
