Job summary

The RAC SMR division is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service pre-booked appointments across Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City and nearby areas. You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van, performing routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment and in-depth repairs at the customer’s location.

This role focuses on planned work rather than reactive breakdowns, with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, or 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Valid UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience with diagnostics using mobile equipment and performing planned servicing and repairs.

Responsibilities
