Job summary

Halfords in Nottingham is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to deliver workshop-quality servicing at customers' homes and workplaces. You’ll work from a fully equipped van, manage your day, and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

The role offers a 44-hour week, with a base salary of £31,025 and a monthly bonus scheme averaging £2,700 per year, giving total earnings up to £33,725. Training and career progression support the expanding mobile business.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair or time-served experience.
• Proven experience in a vehicle servicing & maintenance role.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Great communication skills and confidence dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services.
• Battery and Dashcam fitting.
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics.
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing.
• Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing.

The role involves a 44-hour week, working 8am - 6pm shifts over 5 days, including 1 in 2 weekends.

Working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart technology, you'll manage your own day, build trusted customer relationships and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

What you'll be doing
