Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Northumberland to service, repair and diagnose vehicles, including clutch and timing belt work and electronics diagnostics. You will join the UK’s largest motoring services provider with extensive career opportunities.

The role offers a structured bonus scheme with on-target earnings up to £38,700 and a base salary of £32,000, plus benefits and development through ATA/MOT training.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driver's license with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced technician/mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine servicing and repair work.
• Carry out more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Diagnose faults across brakes, steering/suspension, engine and electronics.

Role Overview

As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake, steering, and suspension systems.
