Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our service team in the UK. You will service and repair vehicles, perform diagnostics, and handle complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements, electrics, and suspension work.

We offer on-target earnings up to £42,900 per year, with a base salary between £34,640 and £38,100 and an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £4,800 annually. Progression opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Carry out diagnostics and more complex repairs (clutches, timing belts, electrics).
• Contribute to maintaining safety and high standards of workmanship.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience

• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
