Job summary

Halfords Mobile Expert is recruiting a skilled Mobile Vehicle Technician to deliver workshop-quality servicing, maintenance and repair work at customers' homes and workplaces from a fully equipped van. Join a growing mobile team and manage your own day with support from smart technology and expert guidance.

You'll handle a wide range of servicing tasks, diagnostics, and repairs with a focus on customer relationships and safe, efficient workmanship.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair (or time-served experience).
• Proven experience in a vehicle servicing & maintenance role.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Great communication skills and confidence dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services.
• Brake pad, shoe and disc replacement.
• Steering, suspension and brake repairs.
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics.
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing.
• Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing.
• Structured induction and ongoing technical development with clear career progression.

Working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart technology, you'll manage your own day, build trusted customer relationships and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

What you’ll be doing

• No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work, helping to keep the nation moving.
• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services
• Brake pad, shoe and disc replacement
