Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customer locations such as driveways or office car parks. The role is permanent and full-time, based in Milton Keynes, with a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and one Saturday per month.

Salary starts at £40,170 (inclusive of LWA) with an OTE in excess of £52,000. Overtime after 5pm or on an additional Saturday is paid at 1.5x (£30ph).

Competenze

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.

Mansioni

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at customer location (driveway, office car park, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
• Keep records of work performed and parts used.

Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Location: Milton Keynes

Pay / salary: £40,170 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: In Excess of £52,000

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Technician role

Home based, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am 5pm with 1 Saturday per month. When working the Saturday, you will receive a day off in that week. Any overtime past 5pm or an additional Saturday, is paid at time and a half (£30ph)

1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional more flexibility, more reward.

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Technician role

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) customer selected location e.g. driveway, office car park.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Payment handling through card transactions.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

What youll need to be considered for the Mobile Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, orequivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
