Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician (Vans) based in Dartford on a full-time, permanent basis. You will service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles to high standards, with a focus on safety and reliability for a wide range of clients.

The role offers a clear Monday–Friday schedule with optional overtime, ongoing training, and opportunities for career progression within a large national business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and inspections.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurate completion of job cards and paperwork.
• Work to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

About the Role

Our client is one of the UKs leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans , ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred)
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
