Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division for planned, non-emergency work across Warrington and nearby towns. You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van, following a pre-booked schedule and using advanced mobile diagnostics to service and repair vehicles on site.

The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with on‑ target earnings up to £52,000, 40 hours a week, and overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Skills
