Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and deeper repairs on customers' vehicles at their location, using a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostic tools.

The role offers a clear schedule with pre-booked jobs rather than reactive callouts, and opportunities to advance into EV and diagnostic skills. Expect a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, paid overtime, and a 40-hour week with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
