Job summary

The Education Authority is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant to operate across the Belfast area, assisting in daily catering duties and serving meals to pupils. You will help with food prep, service points, and dining area setup while maintaining hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Must have access to a suitable vehicle/alternative transport.
• Evidence of effective leadership and people management at work.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong planning, organisational and decision-making abilities.
• Motivation to provide excellent food and customer service to pupils and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic preparation of food and beverages.
• Carry out simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organise and control food service points.
• Transfer and serve meals and snacks, including transported meals.
• Promote meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of dining areas and kitchen.
• Record temperatures for control where required.
• Ensure premises are secure and duties comply with regulations.
