Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a skilled Mobile Fitter to service and repair our fleet of diggers, dumpers and hand tools across depots and on customer sites from a home-based location. You will perform servicing, diagnosis and repairs to ensure the equipment is safe and ready for hire, with independent work on site and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plant mechanic or fitter.
• Solid knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance.
• Full driving licence required.
• Ability to work independently on client sites.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide range of plant and tool equipment within the GAP fleet.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs at depots and on customer sites.
• Completing servicing, inspections, and repairs to maintain safety and reliability.
• Updating service records, tagging equipment, and completing test certificates.
