Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is hiring a Mobile Plant Fitter in Birmingham. You will service and repair construction and agricultural plant machinery across customer sites with travel to sites, perform diagnostics and breakdown repairs, and complete service docs with high safety standards.

Role offers a permanent, full-time position with up to £46,000 per year, overtime at time-and-a-half, a company van and fuel card, plus ongoing training and development for career progression.

Mobile Plant Fitter - Birmingham | Up to £46,000 + Overtime + Van

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business supporting customers across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on a varied range of construction and agricultural machinery, with ongoing training and opportunities to develop your career.

The role will involve travelling to customer sites across Birmingham and the surrounding area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural plant machinery
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers
• Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding experience
• Experience working on construction or agricultural machinery
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently
• Full UK driving licence
• Engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable
