Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy seeks an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to service and repair construction and agricultural machinery across Enfield and surrounding areas. You will diagnose faults, perform breakdowns and carry out preventative maintenance with workshop support as needed.

This role offers ongoing training, career progression and a generous benefits package, including a company van and fuel card. You will work on varied machinery and travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role is required.
• Proven mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience with construction or agricultural machinery preferred.
• Ability to diagnose hydraulic/electrical faults.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural machinery on client sites.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites.
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Documenting service work and communicating findings to customers.
• Ensuring work is completed safely to a high standard.

Mobile Plant Fitter - Enfield | Up to £46,000 + Overtime + Van

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business covering Enfield and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a varied field-based role, with ongoing training, strong benefits and long-term development.

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you'll visit customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs across a range of construction and agricultural machinery. You'll also have workshop support when required and the opportunity to broaden your technical experience.

Key Responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
• Experience working with construction or agricultural machinery
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics
• The ability to work independently and manage breakdowns effectively
• A full UK driving licence
• An engineering qualification or apprenticeship is desirable
