Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join its busy repairs and maintenance team in the Birmingham area. You will apply finishes, stain block and help prepare properties to Lettable Standards, delivering high-quality results in customers' homes.

The role requires an apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating (or City & Guilds) and extensive trade experience. A driving licence and DBS check are essential for this mobile position.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating or City & Guilds equivalent.
• Extensive time served in Painting, Decorating and related trades.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to keep jobs on track.
• Experience delivering work right first time in customer homes.

Responsibilities

• Support the repairs and maintenance team with painting and decorating tasks, including stain blocking.
• Prepare surfaces and return Empty Properties to Lettable Standards.
• Deliver work in customers' homes with a friendly, customer-focused approach.
