Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Painter & Decorator for responsive repairs in Redhill and surrounding areas. The role is permanent and 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a company van provided.

Ideal candidates hold City & Guilds Level 2 / NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating and have experience in occupied properties, with strong prep/finish skills and good customer service. A Basic DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in Painting and Decorating.
• Experience in responsive repairs, social housing or domestic maintenance.
• Strong surface-preparation and finishing skills.
• Ability to diagnose repairs and select suitable materials.
• Confident working within occupied properties.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Complete internal and external painting and decorating work.
• Prepare new and existing surfaces to achieve a professional finish.
• Carry out property inspections and assess the work required.
• Identify issues including damp and mould and determine the appropriate solution.
• Communicate clearly with residents throughout each appointment.
• Minimise repeat visits by completing repairs effectively.
• Receive and update jobs using mobile technology.
• Follow risk assessments, COSHH requirements and safe working procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service within occupied homes.
