Job summary

S1jobs is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Fitter to join our mobile engineering team, working across sites in Dundee and the Fife areas. This is a varied, hands-on role that values quality work, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults on mechanical systems, monitor equipment performance, and contribute to site uptime. Overtime is paid at enhanced rates, a company vehicle is provided, and ongoing training opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of high-speed rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication skills desirable.
• Comfortable using IT systems and reporting tools.
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices.

Job description

We're looking for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Fitter to join a mobile engineering team operating across sites in Dundee/Fife areas. This is a varied and hands-on role within a well-established organisation that values quality work, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Dayshift/Backshift position

You'll play a key role in ensuring plant performance, reliability, and availability through both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Maintain plant condition and performance to support operational schedules
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical systems
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues

About You
