Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter in Dumfries to service, maintain, and repair a range of plant machinery both on-site and in the field.

You will diagnose faults, attend breakdowns, perform routine servicing, and support customers with technical expertise while managing your workload independently in a field-based role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on plant, agricultural, or similar equipment.
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) ideally.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and represent the business professionally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair plant machinery.
• Attend breakdowns and scheduled maintenance on customer sites.
• Carry out routine servicing and compliance inspections.
• Provide high level technical support and customer service.
• Manage workload in a field-based role.

Rota: Monday Friday DAYS

The Role

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of plant machinery, supporting customers across the region both on-site and in the field.

• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing plant machinery
• Attending breakdowns and scheduled maintenance on customer sites
• Carrying out routine servicing and compliance inspections
• Providing a high level of technical support and customer service
• Managing your own workload effectively in a field-based role
