Job summary

Holt Recruitment invites applications for a Mobile Plant Fitter based in Forfar. You will service, maintain and repair plant and heavy machinery across an aggregates/industrial plant environment, supporting sites both on the ground and in the field.

The role requires fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, plus a full UK driving licence. NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) is ideally preferred. The position offers a strong basic salary with regular overtime and a company van.

Role: Mobile Plant Fitter

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

Location: Forfar

Rota: Monday – Friday, rotating weekly between Earlys/ Lates.

The role: As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing plant and heavy machinery across an aggregates / industrial plant environment, supporting sites both on the ground and in the field.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing plant machinery in an aggregates / industrial plant setting
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out scheduled maintenance across multiple sitesCarrying out routine servicing and compliance inspections
• Providing a high level of technical support and site level service
• Managing your own workload effectively in a multi-site, field-based role

About You

• Previous experience working on plant in an aggregates or industrial plant environment
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and represent the business professionally across multiple sites
