Job summary

High Life Highland is seeking a full-time Mobile Library Driver to operate the van on a 3-week cycle from Ardelve Depot, serving Skye and Lochalsh. You will handle stock, assist customers and perform routine vehicle checks to ensure smooth service delivery.

The role requires a medical screening, a short driving test and a Disclosure Scotland PVG check, with 35 hours per week and a commitment to health and safety and staff training.

Qualifications

• Medical examination required prior to appointment.
• Short driving test required.
• Disclosure Scotland PVG check required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and deliver library services to the public across the Skye and Lochalsh area.
• Maintain the mobile library van, perform day-to-day checks and report faults.
• Circulate stock to venues including houses, schools and care homes.
• Handle cash and assist with day-to-day library operations within the area.
• Assist with Health and Safety procedures and participate in staff training.
• Support other HLH teams and projects as required.
• Uphold HLH environmental values in all tasks.
