Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to cover Warrington and surrounding areas from home. The role offers a competitive salary, a company van, fuel card, mobile phone and paid door-to-door duties with generous overtime rates.

Initial training is provided, including two weeks in an office environment and one week shadowing an experienced technician. IRTEC is a goal-friendly option with progression potential and pension support.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in heavies (City & Guilds, NVQ and / or IRTEC).
• Experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles.
• Mobile HGV Technician experience would be beneficial.
• Full UK valid driving licence as the role is mobile and paid door to door.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, inspections and repairs to commercial vehicles in and around Warrington.
• Perform checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
• Use diagnostic techniques and manuals to locate defective parts.
• Produce accurate reports after inspecting accident damaged machines.
• Work on customer sites with or without workshop facilities.
• On call circa 1 in 6/7 weeks.

Job description

Job Title: Mobile HGV Technician Shift: Monday – Friday days Location: Warrington Salary: £47,174 - £52,500 Basic (depending on qualifications) + Van, FC + Overtime (paid at 1.5X) OTE £60,000 - £65,000 + Salaries reviewed once probation passed and also when IRTEC gained, my client will happily put you through your IRTEC. This role is paid door to door. Benefits: Van, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone, Paid door to door, All overtime paid at 1.5X (plenty available) Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, death in service 3X annual salary, 25 days holiday (plus statutory), on call payment and company sick pay scheme

Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity

Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional mobile HGV technician to the team. As a mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitteryou will be based from home covering Warrington and the surrounding area. Industry leading training is offered from day 1 to include 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing with an existing mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter.

Duties of the Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

• Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of commercial vehicles in and around Warrington
• Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
• Carry out technical inspections or use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components or systems using a small variety of test equipment.
• Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
• In this mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter role you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use
• On call circa 1 in 6/7 weeks

Experience/skills required for the Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

• Qualifications in heavies (City & Guilds, NVQ and / or IRTEC)
• Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
• Any previous mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter experience would be beneficial
• Any experience gained working on GSE would be an advantage
• Full UK valid driving licence as the role is mobile and paid door to door
• Be based in Warrington
