Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to join our client’s team in Doncaster. The role covers Doncaster and surrounding areas, with a dayshift Mon–Fri and a base salary in the £47,174–£56,160 range, plus a van and overtime paid at 1.5x.

There is potential to earn OTE £60,000–£65,000, with door-to-door pay, pension contributions, and company sick pay. Full IRTEC training is available, and candidates must hold a UK driving licence and live in Doncaster.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in heavies (City & Guilds, NVQ and / or IRTEC).
• Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles.
• Any previous mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter experience would be beneficial.
• Any experience gained working on GSE would be an advantage.
• Full UK valid driving licence as the role is mobile and paid door to door.
• Be based in Doncaster

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of commercial vehicles in and around Doncaster.
• Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
• Carry out technical inspections or use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components or systems using a small variety of test equipment.
• Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
• In this mobile HGV Technician/ Mechanic / Fitter role you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use.
• On call circa 1 in 6/7 weeks

Salary: £47,174 - £56,160 Basic (depending on qualifications) + Van, FC + Overtime (paid at 1.5X) OTE £60,000 - £65,000 + Salaries reviewed once probation passed and also when IRTEC gained, my client will happily put you through your IRTEC. This role is paid door to door.

Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity

Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional mobile HGV technician to the team. As a mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter you will be based from home covering Doncasterand the surrounding area. Industry leading training is offered from day 1 to include 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing with an existing mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter.
