Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a skilled HGV Mobile Technician to service, maintain and repair HGVs, LCVs and trailers at customer locations around Dagenham and Essex. The role involves diagnosing faults, completing compliance records and delivering a professional service.

You will work with a range of powered assets, including trailers like double-deck and moving-floor units, and you’ll need strong diagnostic skills and the ability to manage your own workload.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on HGV and LCV vehicles
• Experience with trailers is highly desirable
• IRTEC registration is advantageous, although training can be provided
• Tail lift and/or moving-floor experience is desirable
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, LCVs and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Work on a variety of trailers, including double-deck and moving-floor equipment
• Accurately complete compliance records and job information using an electronic tablet
• Work in line with company procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirements
• Liaise directly with customers and provide a professional service
• Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

HGV MOBILE TECHNICIAN

Salary: £21.00 - £25.00 per hour

Hours: 47.5 hours per week

Location: Covering Dagenham/Essex

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a skilled HGV Mobile Technician to join a growing and successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs, LCVs and trailers at customer locations.

The role will involve working on a variety of powered assets, including trucks with different configurations and specifications, as well as trailers including double-deck and moving-floor trailers.

• Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, LCVs and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
