Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Mobile HGV Technician to work on a mobile basis from home, covering Rugby and surrounding areas in the UK. The role offers a starting salary in the £47k–£56k range, with a van, overtime at 1.5x, and door-to-door pay.

Starting salaries are advertised with IRTEC qualification support available. Benefits include pension contributions, death in service, 25 days holiday, on-call pay, and sickness cover.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy goods vehicles is essential.
• Ability to perform routine servicing and inspections on HGVs.
• Willingness to work mobile sites and be based from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and inspections on a range of commercial vehicles.
• Carry out diagnostics and repairs using required tools and manuals.
• Produce accurate reports on accident-damaged machines for repair planning.
• Work on customer sites with or without workshop facilities.
• Be on-call approximately 1 in 6–7 weeks.

Job Title: Mobile HGV Technician
Shift: Monday – Friday days

Salary: £47,174 - £56,160 Basic (depending on qualifications) + Van, FC + Overtime (paid at 1.5X) OTE £60,000 - £65,000 +
Salaries reviewed once probation passed and also when IRTEC gained, my client will happily put you through your IRTEC. This role is paid door to door.

Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity

Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional mobile HGV technician to the team. As a mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitteryou will be based from home covering Rugby and the surrounding area. Industry leading training is offered from day 1 to include 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing with an existing mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter.
Starting salaries are as follows

Duties of the Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

• Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of commercial vehicles in and around Rugby
• Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
• Carry out technical inspections or use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components or systems using a small variety of test equipment.
• Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
• In this mobile HGV Technician/ Mechanic / Fitter role you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use
• On call circa 1 in 6/7 weeks

Experience/skills required for the Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

• Qualifications in heavies (City & Guilds, NVQ and / or IRTEC)
• Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
• Any previous mobile HGV Technician/ Mechanic / Fitter experience would be beneficial
• Any experience gained working on GSE would be an advantage
• Full UK valid driving licence as the role is mobile and paid door to door
• Be based in Coventry or Rugby
