Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to cover a Berkshire portfolio of commercial sites. The role focuses on proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance with a driver-friendly, field-based setup.

You will handle PPM tasks, operate on motors, pumps, AHUs and BMS systems, and coordinate subcontractors while maintaining high standards and client satisfaction. Competitive package and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based in Berkshire or able to cover Berkshire only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Work on motors, generators, AHUs, FCU, VAVs, pumps and water treatment systems.
• Operate and understand BMS systems.
• Safely isolate plant and equipment per safety procedures.
• Ensure works comply with regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors as required.
• Complete logbooks, RAMS, reports and permits to work.
• Raise and close jobs using PDA systems.
• Maintain strong client relationships and high service levels.

Mobile Maintenance Engineer

We've got an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our client, covering a portfolio of commercial sites based solely across Berkshire. As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, you will oversee a portfolio of commercial sites, manage client expectations, and take initiative to maintain high standards of service.

Mobile Maintenance Engineer Duties:

• Carry out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Work on motors, generators (on/off load testing), shutdowns, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, sprinkler systems, pumps, belts, bearings, seals and water treatment systems.
• Operate and have an understanding of BMS systems.
• Safely isolate plant and equipment in line with site and statutory safety procedures.
• Ensure all corrective and repair works comply with current regulations and standards.
• Promote safe working practices and high-quality workmanship.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors where required.
• Complete logbooks, RAMS, reports and permits to work.
• Raise and close jobs using PDA systems.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Strong communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach.
• Apprentice-trained background desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must be based in or able to cover Berkshire only.

Salary & Package:

• £43,000 - £45,000 per annum
