Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd in Crawley and the South Coast is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to cover a local patch of commercial sites. You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults on mechanical and electrical building services, and help keep HVAC systems running efficiently.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a salary of £43,000–£45,000 per annum. The package includes a company van, fuel card, pension, overtime, and ongoing training and

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing or Air Conditioning (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent).
• Experience in commercial building services maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer-facing ability. Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical and electrical building services.
• Maintain HVAC equipment, including AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, pumps, and motors.
• Carry out basic plumbing works, including TMV maintenance, tap replacements, and pipework repairs.
• Complete emergency lighting and fire alarm checks.
• Perform basic water hygiene and L8 compliance tasks where required.
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance.
• Complete maintenance reports and ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
