Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team on the Birmingham Schools contract on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The working hours are as follows; Two weeks of Monday-Friday 6am-2pm followed by two weeks of Monday-Friday 10am-6pm.

Qualifications

• Post-apprenticeship experience within an electrical maintenance or building services environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment (LV distribution, switchgear, control panels, emergency lighting).
• Valid driving licence.
• DBS check clearance essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault-find and repair complex electrical systems in line with legislation and procedures.
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across electrical building services.
• Carry out minor electrical installations and upgrades.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tasks to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including CAFM updates.
• Participate in on-call rota.
