Job summary

Education Authority invites applications for a Cleaning Supervisor based at the Education Authority's Belfast area office. The post supervises cleaning staff across a site, ensuring EA standards are met and duties are carried out efficiently.

You will induct and train staff, liaise with building managers, monitor supplies and equipment, and maintain accurate records. The role requires two years’ cleaning experience, health & safety knowledge, and the ability to work with a team in a 36-hour week.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of cleaning outside the home environment.
• Ability to accept training and adapt to EA procedures.
• Good communication in English and ability to liaise with managers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control cleaning staff to meet EA standards.
• Carry out induction and refresher training for staff.
• Liaise with building managers on day-to-day cleaning issues.
• Investigate complaints and advise the line manager on corrective action.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are managed within budget and in good condition.
• Monitor materials and equipment suitability and performance.
• Record staff attendance, holidays and absences accurately.
