Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a reliable School Cleaner to join its facilities team and maintain clean, safe learning environments across school premises.

Duties include floor care, cleaning of toilets and classrooms, waste removal and furniture cleaning while following COSHH, Health and Safety requirements and the EA procedures.

You will work as part of a team, adapt to changing duties, and contribute to a positive school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning within educational environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and machinery.
• Health and safety regulations including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and maintain floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean toilets and showers, fixtures and fittings.
• Clean walls, shelves and surfaces up to 3.35m.
• Empty litter bins and remove rubbish to designated points.
• Follow safety and COSHH guidelines and wear PPE.
