Job summary

Education Authority is hiring a part-time cleaner for a 13-hour week at a Belfast area primary school. The role covers general cleaning, floor care, and toilet areas, with duties spanning floors, furniture, and surfaces up to 3.35m, in alignment with health and safety standards.

Training will be provided, and applicants should demonstrate prior cleaning experience, knowledge of COSHH, and good communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months’ demonstrable cleaning experience.
• Mandatory training provided by EA cleaning service prior to commencing employment.
• Knowledge of school cleaning requirements and COSHH safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently to complete tasks on time.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dry buff floors and carry out stripping/re-polishing as needed.
• Clean carpets and mats and remove stains using appropriate methods.
• Clean toilets, showers and fixtures; dust internal surfaces up to 3.35m.
• Polish furniture and empty litter bins; report defects.
• Complete required paperwork and comply with safety regulations.
