Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting for a Mobile Chef/Cook to join our team covering Newry and the greater area. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company which values people and teamwork.

You will prepare and cook to high standards, follow HACCP, and deliver excellent customer service in a busy kitchen. 40 hours per week, shifts vary, 5 days out of 7, with benefits including pension and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience.
• Experience working in a busy kitchen.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Access to own transport.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring HACCP compliance.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service.
• Provide the highest level of customer service.
• Work as part of the team to ensure service is delivered on time.
• Complete administration including recording food temperatures and updating cleaning schedules.
• Report defective equipment or floor surfaces to the Line Manager.
• Open and close all food outlets following Company procedures.
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly and maintain hygiene standards.

The Role

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service
• Providing the highest level of customer service
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time
• Completing any administration includingrecording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules
• Report defective equipment, floor surfacesto theLineManager
• Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried outin accordance withCompany procedures.
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly
• Carry out cleaning duties as required by Unit Manager
• Ensure all team members are fully briefed on ingredients for dishes with emphasis on allergens.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to
• Comply withHACCP regulations as necessary

The Person

• Previousculinary experience
• Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually
• Previousexperience working in a contract catering environment
• NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2 or above
• Full clean driving licence
• Access to own transport
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
