Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Cook to join the team at Millbrook Court, Bangor. The role involves supporting the kitchen to maintain a high standard of food and service in a world-leading facilities management company.

You will work a 17-hour week on a two-week rotating rota, including weekend work, with responsibilities spanning preparation, cooking, presentation, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Access NI checks apply, and the company offers a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Food Hygiene Level 3 qualification.
• Able to work alternate weekends.
• Self-motivated and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist in smooth operation of the kitchens to maintain high food quality.
• Plan, prepare, cook and present food to the highest standards.
• Ensure stock control and ordering procedures are followed.
• Maintain safe, hygienic work environment in line with health and safety policies.
• Update HACCP records and related procedures.
• Carry out reasonable requests from Unit Manager.

The Role:

• Assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchens to ensure a consistent reputation for food quality is alwaysmaintained..
• Ensuring the planning, preparation, cooking and presentation of food is always to the highest standard.
• To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
• To ensure company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
• To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
• Updating HACCP records..
• Any other reasonable requests made by Unit Manager.

The Person:

• Must be able to work alternate weekends
• Experience in a similar role
• Food Hygiene Level 3 qualified
• Leads by example andlivesour values.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about our customer service and reputation.
• Self-motivated,workingindependently and on owninitiative.
• Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
