Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Mobile Chef to join our team covering Belfast and the greater area. You will prepare and cook to a high standard, ensuring HACCP compliance, and provide excellent customer service in a busy contract catering environment.

The role requires culinary experience, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to work well in a team or independently. A full driving licence and access to transport are preferred.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience required and prior kitchen work in busy environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and health, safety policies.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a team or alone.
• Experience in contract catering preferred.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds 706/1&2 or above.
• Full clean driving licence and access to transport.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard meeting HACCP.
• Ensure service counter is prepped and ready for service.
• Provide the highest level of customer service.
• Work as part of the team to deliver service on time.
• Record food temperatures and update cleaning schedules.
• Report defective equipment to Line Manager.
• Open and close food outlets according to procedures.
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly.
• Carry out cleaning duties as required.
• Brief team on ingredients with allergen emphasis.
• Follow Health, Safety and Hygiene policies.
• Comply with HACCP regulations.

The Role:

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service
• Providing the highest level of customer service
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time
• Completing any administration includingrecording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules
• Report defective equipment, floor surfacesto theLineManager
• Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried outin accordance withCompany procedures.
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly
• Carry out cleaning duties as required by Unit Manager
• Ensure all team members are fully briefed on ingredients for dishes with emphasis on allergens.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to
• Comply withHACCP regulations as necessary

The Person

• Previousculinary experience
• Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually
• Previousexperience working in a contract catering environment
• NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2 or above
• Full clean driving licence
• Access to own transport
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
