Job summary
ABM is seeking a Security Officer to cover Glasgow and surrounding areas. You will patrol sites, monitor CCTV and alarms, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors. You must present yourself professionally and stay proactive at all times.
The role is 40 hours per week, includes nights and weekends, with a pay rate of £14.25 per hour. A valid SIA licence and CCTV licence are essential.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence.
- Valid CCTV licence.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
- Experience in security, preferably retail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Proactive and professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Patrol sites including car parks to deter crime and maintain safety.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms and security equipment for incidents.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and escalate when needed.
- Control access to restricted areas for authorized personnel.
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff.
- Submit daily activity reports to Security Supervisor/Manager.
- Coordinate with police or emergency services as required.
- Participate in security and safety training sessions.
