Job summary

ABM is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard visitors, staff and assets across Glasgow sites. You will patrol, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service to maintain a safe environment.

Essential qualifications include a valid SIA licence, CCTV licence, and strong health and safety awareness, with prior security experience preferred in retail or shopping centres. You will stay calm under pressure and collaborate with authorities.

Qualifications

Valid SIA licence required.
Valid CCTV licence required.
Strong health and safety awareness.
Previous security experience, ideally in retail or shopping centres.
Good observational and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

Patrolling sites including car parks to deter crime and ensure safety.
Operate and monitor CCTV, alarms and security equipment.
Respond quickly to emergencies, including first aid and alarms.
Monitor access to restricted areas and authorize entry as needed.
Provide assistance and information to visitors and staff.
Submit detailed incident reports to supervisors daily.
Collaborate with law enforcement and site management as required.
Adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Take part in regular security training sessions.
