Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer to join our team at 9 Maxim Park, Eurocentral, Motherwell, ML1 4WQ on a permanent basis. This full‑time role covers 42 hours per week, with a salary of £12.71 per hour and a benefits package.

You’ll patrol sites, monitor CCTV and alarms, control access, and report incidents, providing a safe environment for staff and visitors. A valid SIA licence and full UK driving licence are essential, with occasional travel to nearby sites.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence.
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stay calm and respond effectively in challenging situations.
• Reliability and a professional approach.
• Knowledge of CCTV or access control systems.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and monitoring site areas to identify and prevent risks.
• Controlling site access and supporting visitors.
• Monitoring CCTV, alarms, and security systems.
• Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting emergency situations and following procedures.
• Working with colleagues and external services when required.
