Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Allied Health Professional to coordinate Motor Neurone Disease care. You will manage a clinical caseload, act as a key contact for patients and families, and participate in regional MND clinics and MDT meetings.

You will contribute to the MND improvement plan, support NICE audits, and provide teaching opportunities. This fixed‑term 24‑month role offers support from the MND Lead Coordinator and regional colleagues.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Degree in an allied health profession is required.
• Masters level or equivalent post‑graduate training in a defined speciality.
• Evidence of commitment to ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

• Hold a clinical caseload of MND patients within the Care Centre.
• Act as a single point of contact for patients and families.
• Deliver post-diagnostic support and referrals to the MDT.
• Attend specialist regional MND clinics and MDTs.
• Contribute to service objectives and NICE audits.
• Provide MND training and support to colleagues.
