Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Part-Time MS Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) to lead the MS Team within the Community Neurology Pathway at the Dudley Rehabilitation Service. The post involves working across the Dudley Borough, collaborating with neurology consultants to plan, coordinate and deliver MS care.

You will manage a caseload of MS patients, initiate and monitor DMTs, and conduct annual reviews.

Qualifications

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Evidence of extensive, relevant post‑graduate training.
MSc in relevant clinical area or equivalent post‑graduate courses/experience.
V300 Non‑medical prescribing qualification or willingness to complete it.

Responsibilities

Lead the MS Team within the Community Neurology Pathway (DRS).
Manage a caseload of MS patients including those with complex needs.
Advise, commence and monitor Disease Modifying Treatments (DMTs).
Carry out planned annual reviews of patients not on DMTs.
Educate and empower all patients to self‑manage their condition.
Lead nurse MS role providing specialist knowledge, training, advice and support to colleagues, patient and carers.
Provide leadership, coordination, training, supervision and appraisal for junior staff.
Conduct audits, gather patient feedback and monitor KPIs to improve service.
