Job summary

Babcock International is seeking an IT Customer Support Specialist to support RAF Cranwell near Sleaford. Based onsite, you’ll ensure the technology and systems for trainees and staff are reliable, while acting as a bridge between Ascent, Babcock Aerospace and internal IT providers.

The role emphasizes second-line IT support, strong customer service, and the ability to work with military stakeholders in a fast-paced training environment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing second-line IT support.
• Experience supporting users in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of customer-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Providing second-line IT support and acting as an escalation point for local IT operational issues.
• Supporting military trainees, instructors and customer stakeholders to deliver a positive user experience.
• Managing and maintaining IT hardware, telecommunications and audio-visual equipment across the training environment.
• Delivering IT inductions and preparing equipment for new starters joining the programme.
• Configuring and deploying IT equipment to support training facilities, classrooms and operational requirements.
